Romania's Dacia Logan nominated for the “Legend on wheels” prize
Auto specialists consulted by the Automotive News Europe publication have selected the Dacia Logan and other nine car models to compete for the “Legend on wheels” prize. The other cars that are competing are the Mini models, Mercedes SLS, Tesla Roadster, Nissan 350Z, Chevrolet Volt, Bentley Continental, Maybach, Porsche Cayenne and the VW Phaeton. These are the top cars of the last ten years, according to the specialists.
"It doesn’t look good, but this EUR 5,000 car, cheap and solid, is based on the Nissan Micra platform. Available for EUR 7,200 in Germany, the Logan consecrates the victory march of low-cost cars,” writes the European edition of the Automotive News publication.
Specialists in the automotive industry consulted by Automotive News Europe and MSX International have selected ten cars from the auto industry for each decade in order to mark 125 years since the car was invented.
The Dacia Logan is a car produced jointly in 2004 by the French manufacturer Renault and its subsidiary Dacia in Romania. It is manufactured at Dacia's automobile plant in Mioveni, Romania, and in Colombia, Brazil, Russia, Morocco, Iran, India and South Africa.
