Romanians abroad are more interested in local real estate

Romanians living abroad have increased their searches for real estate properties in Romania by 25% in June and July compared to the same months last year, according to local classifieds platform imobiliare.ro.

The real estate inquiries by Romanians living in UK saw the highest annual increase, namely 63%. This could be related to Brexit and the uncertainty felt by the Romanians who live in Great Britain.

The searches from Germany went up by 33% whereas the Romanians living in France increased their searches for apartments and houses in the country by 26%.

Bucharest was the most sought-after area, followed by the Constanta, Brasov, Timis, Cluj, and Iasi counties.
