Romanian Mihai Miron, owner of Ropharma Brasov sells 30% in stock exchange deal

Romanian firms ADD Pharmaceuticals and Rimia Investments, both controlled by businessman Mihai Miron, have sold 6.5 percent in drug distribution company Ropharma Brasov, which is listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (symbol RPH). The  deal was worth around EUR 2.5 million, which valued the company at some EUR 39 million. Mihai Miron controls the remainder in Ropharma through other three companies. The name of the buyer in this recent deal has not been revealed.

Mihai Miron is also the founder of Europharm Braşov, that it eventually sold to GlaxoSmithKline (GSK). Ropharma currently has a network of 112 pharmacies which brought a turnover of EUR 45 million in the first half of this year.
