Romanian and Russian architecture students rank first in international garden design competition

A team of Romanian architecture students has received the first place in the international competition of ideas for French garden design (“Jardins a la francaise'). The Romanian team will share the award with a team of Russian architect students which has also ranked first. The winners will coordinate the project which will create two French-style gardens on the land of Château de la Huardiere (in picture), in Sully-sur-Loire, France. International architecture students will contribute to works on this project.

The owner of the French castle is Romanian investor Angela Craciun, who has initiated the international competition and who will finance the garden design project. She is the president of the Association for the Recognition of Arts and Patrimony in Loire (ACAP Loire).

The winning Romania team was made of Iulia Dobrovie, Livia Dumitru and Alina Vladu, coordinated by architect Violeta Raducan.
