Railway traffic halted in South West Romania after locomotive catches fire, no victims

Railway traffic in southwestern Romania, between Moraviţa and Timisoara, was halted Wednesday morning after a locomotive caught fire, local emergency services said, adding no one was injured and the fire has been put out.

Local emergency service spokeswoman Ancuta Balint said two firefighting crews managed to put out the fire shortly and there were no victims following the incident. The next train scheduled to go through the area is not until after 1.30 p.m., said Timisoara train station officials.
