H&M’s premium brand COS opens new store in Bucharest mall

COS, the premium brand of the Swedish fashion group H&M, opened a new store in Romania, in Baneasa Shopping City.

This is the 200th COS store at global level and covers some 357 sqm.

The COS brand was launched in 2007. As for the price category, the brand is similar to the premium brand Massimo Dutti owned by the group Inditex, which also owns Zara.

H&M has six brands in its portfolio, namely H&M, COS, Monki, Weekday, Cheap Monday, and Other Stories. The Swedish company entered the local market in 2011. It now has 52 stores.

The first COS store in Bucharest was opened on the Victoriei Avenue in May last year. H&M had a turnover of EUR 223 million in Romania in the fiscal year ended November 30, 2016, up by 17% compared to the previous year.
