Higher than usual temps in Romania, but also fog in some regions

Romanians have been enjoying a warmer than usual weather in the month of February, with maximum temperatures between 7 and 19 degrees Celsius in most regions during the day. On Thursday and Friday, February 20 and 21, the maximum temperature in the capital Bucharest will be of around 17 degrees Celsius. N February, the average temperature in Romania is usually of around 4 degrees Celsius, going up to 10 degrees in March, and 18 degrees Celsius in April, according to statistical data.

Meanwhile, eight counties in the south and central Romania are under a warning for fog. The counties of Dolj, Olt, Gorj, Vâlcea, Călăraşi, Teleorman, Giurgiu and Harghita were under a layer of fog on Thursday morning.

The unusually warm weather comes after weeks of low temperatures and snowstorms which affected most of Romania.
