Heating and hot water products company Ariston Thermo Romania hopes to reach EUR 33 million in turnover for 2010, almost double the turnover it posted last year, the company has announced.

Romanian investor Dinu Patriciuis still the richest man in Romania, with an estimated wealth of around EUR 2.3 billion, according to the recently – released Forbes TOP 500 Romanian billionaires. Patriciu also owns the media group which runs the Forbes magazine in Romania.

Romania’s Communications Ministry has finalized the technical platform which allows users to fill in forms and submit them, the ministry has said. The ministry will sign collaboration protocols with the public institutions which file requests to enroll in the system. The technical platform was made by the ministry through the National Center of Information Society Mangement and the 'Romania Digitala' National Center.

Traian Igas is the new Romanian Minister of Interior, after Vasile Blaga resigned earlier today. Iglas, whose naming has already been signed by president Traian Basescu, is the head of the Democratic Party group in the Romanian Senate.

Art production foundation and Japan Tobacco International Romania will organize a new edition of the JTI Meetings (Intalnirile JTI) cultural event in October, when a choreography show featuring Sylvie Guillem and Russell Maliphant will take place at the National Theater in Bucharest.

The Sports and Friends association and Hospice Casa Sperantei will organize a fundraising party on Thursday, September 30, at the Fourteen Bar in Bucharest, starting 20,30 hours. The Sport and Friends team, which will run for the Hospice Casa Sperantei cause at the Bucharest City Marathon on October 17, will raise funds from entry tickets and raffle tickets and donate them to the charity.

Sponsorships for the project, some EUR 30,000 in total, covered the cost of bags, gloves for the volunteers, as well as the free transport of the garbage.
