On her first official visit to Romania, Merkel will meet Romanian president Traian Basescu and Prime Minister Emil Boc. She will also visit the Babes- Bolyai university in Cluj, where she will receive the Doctor Honors Causa title. Merkel will also attend the inauguration of the German Studies Institute at the Babes- Bolyai university.
A Gazprom delegation led by the Russian company's general manager Alexei Miller is expected in Bucharest on Wednesday, to meet Economy Minister representatives, according to Agepres, quoting Government sources. The Economy Minister Ion Ariton will attend the meeting, along with Romgaz representatives.
