Romanian Diana Buzoianu, a London resident, has won the weekly photography competition Big Picture organized by The Telegraph.
She won with a photo taken in rural Romania, in Fundătura Ponorului, in the Gradistea Muncelului-Ciclovina National Park, in the western part of the country.
The Big Picture contest awards the winning travel photograph with a GBP 400 camera.
Buzoianu, who works as a graphic designer in the UK capital, has started taking photographs in the country three years ago, according to a feature in the local edition of National Geographic. She traveled from the northern region of Maramures to the Danube, and from the Apuseni mountains to Bucovina.
She traveled to the country in mid-October of this year, when she took the winning photograph.
This is not her first photography award. She has also won the first prize at the National Tourist Photography Salon, and was awarded at the International Photography Festival held in Vama Veche, at the Romanian seaside, this year.
