The Titanic memorial cruise suffered another setback when the ship was forced to return to Ireland to allow a passenger, believed to have had a heart attack, to be airlifted to hospital. The cruise, which left Southampton, England on April 8 to retrace the Titanic's route, had earlier been delayed due to stormy weather. More bad luck came for Titanic memorials when Bee Gees member Barry Gibb could not attend the premier of his orchestral work inspired by the Titanic due to ill health.

Yesterday ( April 10 ) a minutes silence and a memorial service were held in Southampton to remember the victims of the world's most famous ship disaster. A wealthy Romanian was on board of that cruise - we wrote about it here.

A veritable flotilla of events are being held to mark the 100th anniversary of the Titanic's ill fated voyage. James Cameron has re-released his 1997 film 'Titanic,' starring Kate Winslet and Leonardo Di Caprio, in 3D. Kate Winslet said at the premier of the 3D version that she was dreading seeing herself naked 15 years younger, and she also commented on Celine Dion theme song 'My Heart Will Go On', which she joked “makes her want to throw up”. She isn't alone, as the song was named the most irritating song of all time by a BBC vote.
