The murder suspicion is excluded in the case of local businessman Dan Condrea’s death, said Augustin Lazar, Romania’s General Prosecutor.

Dan Condrea, the owner of Hexi Pharma, a company accused of selling diluted disinfectants to hundreds of public hospitals in Romania, died in a car crash on May 22.

“There is a suspicion that it was, indeed, a suicide, but things will be clarified after the evidence is analyzed,” the General Prosecutor added, reports local Mediafax.

According to prosecutors, Dan Condrea received a text message from his wife a few minutes before the car accident where she advised him “not to do anything stupid.”

The man died in a car accident on Sunday, May 22, before the prosecutors had the chance to charge him in the diluted disinfectant case. He was found dead and disfigured after he smashed into a tree with a company car. The DNA tests confirmed that the driver who died in the car crash was indeed Dan Condrea, as there had been suspicions about a setup as well.
