Michael Jackson hologram could soon appear onstage, after Tupac's Coachella resurrection

20 April 2012

Michael Jackson could follow Tupac Shakur in being resurrected with hologram technology. One of the Jackson brothers has indicated that live performances with a hologram Michael Jackson are a 'definite possibility'.

AV Concepts, the company that created the hologram of deceased rap legend Tupac for Weekend 1 of the California music festival Coachella, has declined to comment on working with the Jackson family to put a Michael hologram onstage.

Tantalizingly, an AV Concepts spokesperson hinted that the company has prepared something for this weekend's events at the Coachella festival, in Indio, California. Rapper Tupac was murdered in 1997 and despite some information leaks, his 'ghostly' image astounded the audience at Coachella when it appeared with rappers Snoop Dogg and Dr Dre.

"We worked with Dr. Dre on this and it was Dre's vision to bring this back to life," said Nick Smith, president of AV Concepts, speaking exclusively to MTV. "It was his idea from the very beginning and we worked with him and his camp to utilize the technology to make it come to life."
