This year's warm autumn has triggered outdoor events organizers throwing in more competitions to keep participants fit until the arrival of winter sports. Two more events will take place at the beginning of October.

The European Union will organize a conference in Bucharest in October, to discuss programs assisting Roma people, Laszlo Andor, EU Commissioner for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion, said in an interview quoted by Mediafax. Andor added the high officials to attend the conference will discuss ways to better implement programs supporting Roma people. The exact date of the conference is yet to be put forward.

Romanian state-owned gas company Romgaz will purchase natural gas from import, through negotiations on Vienna Gas Exchange from June 2011, according to the company. This will be a first for the Romanian company and it means that the company will get gas at lower prices compared to the current imports based on the contracts Romgaz mainly concluded with Gazprom.
