Fire broke out after a blast at the Giulesti maternity hospital in Bucharest on Monday afternoon. First details point to an explosion in the resuscitation area of the hospital.
Four babies have died after a blast which took place at Giulesti Maternity hospital in Bucharest last evening. The fire, which started started in the resuscitation unit, was soon after extinguished, but 11 newborn babies were affected. They were one or two days old and premature born. As events unfolded, not all the babies had been identified, while mothers were waiting outside the hospital for news.
The lower Chamber of the Romanian Parliament voted on Monday the draft law on the National Integrity Agency (ANI) with 204 to two votes and two abstentions. Members of the social democratic (PSD) opposition party refused to vote on the bill and left the meeting.
