The Government has begun to exceed the targets established in the governing program, said yesterday Liviu Dragnea, the leader of the ruling Social Democratic party.

He had a five-hour meeting with Prime Minister Mihai Tudose at the Government’s headquarters yesterday.

“We’ve talked about (...) the collection level, the economic growth and the fact that most of these delays have been caught up with,” said Dragnea, reports local Agerpres.

He added that only two or three targets are currently pending, but they are on schedule. According to him, the governing coalition has established a timetable for the Government’s draft proposals as there are many such initiatives.

The Social Democratic Party overthrew its own Government, led by Sorin Grindeanu, through a no-confidence motion that the Parliament passed in June as they were unhappy with the delays in meeting the objectives set in the governing program.
