Heritage restaurant in Bucharest opens cellar and sells collector wines at auction

Heritage restaurant in Bucharest, which closed down earlier this year, will sell its collector wines at an auction organized by Artmark on August 26 at the Fratelli club in Mamaia. Some 194 bottles of red wines will be on sale at the auction from the cellar of what used to be the most expensive restaurant in Bucharest.

Red wines on sale include Château Lafite, Château Pontet Canet, Château Calon Segur, Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Domaine Faiveley, as well as cognac Hennessy Richard. The opening price for the whole lot is EUR 6,000. The white wine collection will have a starting price of EUR 1,200.

A three-liter bottle of Dom Pérignon Vintage from 1993 will be sold at a starting price of EUR 2,400. An Amour de Deutz bottle, part of a rare collection of only 365 bottles, will sell at EUR 4,500.

The auction will also include some sports memorabilia, such as the 1972 Olympic Torch, at a starting price of EUR 350. A T-short with the autograph of football player Cristi Chivu, and a pair of gloves wore by Romanian goalkeeper Bogdan Stelea will also be on sale.
