Artmark will hold a car auction on August 26 at Fratelli Beach and Club, Mamaia, with a few ‘celebrity’ vehicles on offer. A BMW previously owned by Romania’s former King Mihai I will go under the hammer. The car was apparently a favorite of the King and the V12 BMW 760Li will have a starting price of EUR 12,000. Also up for auction is the Ferrari F399 driven by Michael Schumacher in the 1999 Formula 1 season. The car won Ferrari the 1999 constructors title and is apparently in excellent condition. Its performance is, well, face-meltingly fast. The starting price for a piece of Formula 1 history will be EUR 125,000.

Two classic marks from the 40s will be up for sale, a 1947 Lincoln continental, the luxury sedan made by Ford and used by presidents and celebrities, as well as a 1948 Jeep Wyllis – an important piece of military history and in regular use with the US armed forces throughout the fifties. Artmark will be exhibiting classic cars on the coast between August 23 and 26, with a series of events planned.
