World Class wellness network opens new club in Bucharest’s Pipera area

15 October 2015

World Class, the largest chain of wellness clubs in Romania, will open a new fitness center in the Pipera Plaza shopping center, in Northern Bucharest. Pipera is one of the areas preferred by expats who live in Romania.

The new club, which will open in December, will be the sixth inaugurated by World Class this year and will increase the group’s total number of wellness centers to 18. It covers 1,470 sqm and includes a gym, a cross fitness area, and aerobics studio, and a modern cycling hall.

World Class has invested over EUR 6 million in the six new clubs opened this year. The company, which is controlled by private equity fund Resource Partners and run by Swedish manager Michael Fredholm, aims to further expand its network in Romania and to make fitness more accessible to a wider public.

The group will continue to address the upper clientele as well with the W by World Class premium club concept launched earlier this year.
