Wizz Air launches Bucharest-Santander route

Wizz Air low cost airline announced  in a statement that it will launch a new route starting April 23, 2019 between Bucharest and Santander.

Flights will be operated twice a week during summer, on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Tickets for the new route are already on sale.

This becomes the ninth destination serviced from Bucharest to Spain after Barcelona, Alicante, Madrid, Castellón, Málaga, Valencia, Tenerife and Zaragoza.

The city of Santander, located in the Cantabria region, will be the 45th destination serviced by Wizz Air directly from Romania’s capital city and the 145th destination in the Wizz Air network.

In the first ten months of 2018, Wizz Air transported more than 8.3 million passengers on its routes to and from Bucharest, an increase of 14.1% compared to the same period of 2017.

Wizz Air operates a fleet of 105 Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft and offers more than 600 routes from 26 bases, linking 145 destinations from 44 countries.
