RO delivery platform Tazz launches program for setting up virtual restaurant brands

07 April 2022

Local delivery platform Tazz has launched Tazz Republic, a program aimed at supporting HoReCa entrepreneurs in their digitization process and national expansion.

The program operates in three stages, and it is based on a support system of long-term partnerships. As part of the program, popular restaurants with potential to expand to other cities are launched through the app as virtual brands.

"Firstly, we identify the most popular restaurants in Tazz cities, showing potential to expand their success story in other cities. Then, we select those partners complying with all the necessary conditions to operate them in other cities, guaranteeing the highest quality standards, including a delivery experience comparable to the one of the original restaurant. In the end, we launch these brands through the app across the country, and they become virtual brands with a new expansion strategy, going beyond their home city. Tazz Republic becomes a premier program in our country, in which a crucial role is played by our solid ecosystem of reliable HoReCa partners and by the sustained business growth, which we aim to accelerate through this type of programs," Alin Șerban, CEO of Tazz, explained.

Tazz Republic currently has six virtual brands, which have expanded through the Tazz app in eleven cities in Romania so far.

The program aims to reach 25 virtual brands by the end of this year.

Among the first virtual brands in Tazz Republic is The Empanadas Factory, an Argentinian cuisine brand from Cluj-Napoca, now launched in nine other cities. Timișoara kebab brand Fresh Kebab is now available in Brașov and Cluj-Napoca, while Gyroserie from Bucharest, known for its authentic Greek cuisine, has reached Brașov, Timișoara and Cluj-Napoca. Nori Yakitori, created by the 2017 Master Chef winner Robert Petrescu was launched on Tazz initially in Timișoara, and now is expanding through Tazz Republic in Brașov and Cluj-Napoca. At the same time, Dei Frati from Brașov is launched in Timișoara, and soon will launch in Bucharest and Cluj-Napoca.
