The members of the American Chamber of Commerce in Romania AmCham recently elected their new board, which will soon decide on its new president, vice-president and treasurer.

AmCham's new board is: Valeriu Alexandru Binig - Director, Energy &Resources Leader – Deloitte; Violeta Ciurel- President & CEO - Axa Life Insurance; Nadia Crişan- Managing Director- McGuireWoods Consulting Romania; Hans Dewaele- Vice-President, General Manager Balkans – Procter&Gamble; Radu Florescu- CEO- Saatchi&Saatchi, Bogdan Ion- Country Managing Partner- Ernst&Young, Sorin Mîndruţescu- Country General Manager - Oracle Romania, Daniela Nemoianu- Executive Partner - KPMG Romania, Valeriu Nistor- Country Director- IBM Romania; James Stewart -Vice-president- Raiffeisen Bank, Anda Todor- Managing Partner – Salans.

The auditing committee has three members: Manuela Furdui - Managing Partner – Finexpert; Serge Gonvers- Senior Partner – Audiconsult and Florentina Grigore, Certified Accountant - Rsm Scot.

AmCham's helm has been held by Sorin Mindrutescu, the CEO of Oracle Romania, since last year.

The American Chamber of Commerce in Romania (AmCham Romania) is a non-profit and non-political organization that promotes the commercial and economic interests of US, international and local business community in Romania.
