Romanian investor Omer Susli, the former owner of the Praktiker do-it-yourself (DIY) network, plans to develop a new network of furniture and interior decorations stores under the Homelux brand.

He opened the first store in Ploiesti, on November 22, and wants to reach 20 units in the next five years, local Ziarul Financiar reported.

The network will cover the most important cities in Romania, Susli said.

Omer Susli sold the Praktiker network to British group Kingfisher, in 2017, in a deal worth some EUR 22 million.
