A lot of the milk sold in shops in Romania is not natural, but rather produced using powdered milk, and "the authorities" are probably to blame, said Romania's Agriculture Minister Stelian Fuia.

“A lot of the milk we buy in shops is actually made of powdered milk, so it is not natural,” said Fuia. He also said there isn't any legislation to cover this issue.

He also reminded of certain debates in the last period in the media which were focusing on counterfeit cheese. Fuia said the future food industry register, for which a draft law has been created, will help buyers to know exactly what they consume every day.
