Real estate fund NEPI has delayed the opening of its Mega Mall shopping center in Bucharest to the middle of May, after initially announcing a late April opening. The mall will open on May 14, the developer announced.

Meanwhile, the developers are working on the finishings, including the glass roof. It has already handed over the retail spaces for all retailers to finalize them.

NEPI said it decided to delay the opening to ensure the highest quality for its project.

Mega Mall will cover some 230,000 sqm and work started a year and two months ago. Once finalized, it will have 3,000 sqm of glass store windows, each 14 meters tall, five cupolas covering 750 sqm and two skylights covering some 1,500 sqm.
