Media: Romania to appoint Claudiu Doltu as new representative at World Bank

Romanian Claudiu Doltu, state secretary at the Public Finance Ministry, will become Romania's representative at the World Bank in August this year, replacing Stefan Nanu, according to local media quoting Government sources. Nanu's mandate will expire, and he will return to the ministry. The two exchanged seats in the past too, in 2009, when Nanu replaced Doltu as Romania's representative at the World Bank. Doltu had started on this position in 2006. When with the WB, Doltu was Alternate Executive, director of the Dutch Constituency, and board member.

Between 2000 and 2003, Claudiu Doltu was counselor of the Romanian Central Bank Governor, and from 2007 he headed the Treasury. He graduated the Academy of Economic Studies Bucharest and holds a PhD in economics. His CV is here.
