Deloitte Romania appoints new head of audit and enterprise risk services

Deloitte Romania has announced that Madeline Alexander (in picture) will take over as partner in charge Audit and Enterprise Risk Services. She has been a partner with the company since 2002 after ten years of previous international professional experience.

“During her eleven years as partner, Madeline has proven to be an excellent manager, business developer and strategist,” said Managing Partner Deloitte Romania Ahmed Hassan.

Speaking about her new role, she said, “My number one priority is to further consolidate our Audit and Enterprise Risk Services”

After studying in Miami, USA, Madeline Alexander worked in the US compiling and analyzing financial information to prepare financial reviews, US GAAP financial statements and analysis for IPOs. Later she returned to Romania and collaborated with the Ministry of Finance to implement International Accounting Standards (IAS) in the country.

As leader of the Deloitte Public Sector Industry team, Madeline Alexander has carried out audits for state-owned companies and government institutions.

She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, member of the Georgia Institute of Certified Public Accountants, member of the Romanian Chamber of Financial Auditors, member of the Romanian Chartered Accountants Association, member of the Romanian Chartered Accountants for Publicly Held Companies. She has a Bachelor's degree in accounting from the Florida International University, Miami.

Deloitte has a total of 13 Partners based in Romania and serving clients in different industries on aspects related to Audit & Risk, Tax & Legal, Financial Advisory and Management Consulting. The Firm opened its first office in Romania in 1992, in Bucharest. The professional services company employs around 400 professional and support staff.
