Construction materials producer Xella promotes Marius Dragne to CEO in Romania

German construction material producer Xella recently promoted Marius Dragne to CEO for its Romanian subsidiary, from the position of sales and marketing director.

Dragne, who at 33 became the youngest CEO on the Romanian construction market, according to the company, has seven years of experience on the construction materials market and has been working with Xella for four years. He was part of the team which has overseen the investment in Xella's factory at Paulesti. Xella invested some EUR 32 million in this greenfield factory, which opened in 2010.

Before joining Xella, Dragne worked with Lasselsberger for five years. He is a graduate of the Academy of Economic Studies – ASE in Bucharest.
