Bucharest City Hall adds integrated transport hub on Basarab Flyover

On Sunday (April 22 ), an integrated transport hub has opened on the Basarab Flyover in Bucharest, connecting several means of transport in the area. The line 1 cable cars that will stop in both directions on the flyover. The new hub will also provide connections to metro lines, trolley buses, and buses that cross the area. At the same time it will provide access to taxi ranks and bus stops.

The station has four elevators and also four escalators that will ensure the connection to the station and other transport facilities in the area with Calea Grivitei-Titulescu as well as from the terminal Basarab area, Gara de Nord and Basarab railway stations.

The new hub has two entries – one from Calea Grivitei and other from the Dinicu Golescu boulevard.

Public information is available in the passage and at ground level.

This is the biggest transport hub in the whole country, according to the Bucharest City Hall. Walkways of 300 meters that will connect to the Basarab Passage and Gara de Nord will also open later this month.
