Bucharest, among cheapest cities in the world for hotel stays

Bucharest came 82nd in a recent ranking of 106 cities in the world for hotel prices, created by Bloomberg. The Romanian capital was at par with Athens in Greece and Mumbai, in India, with an average hotel cost of USD 119 a night.

Most expensive was Geneve in Switzerland, with a cost of USD 308, while most expensive in Romania’s region was Budapest in Hungary, with an average hotel cost of USD 197. Czech Republic’s Prague was at number 40, with a cost of USD 174, while Ljubljana in Slovenia was at position 53, with a cost of USD 154.

Cheaper than in Romania was in neighboring Bulgaria, at Sofia, which came 102nd, with a cost of USD 82. The cheapest city in the world for hotels is Hanoi, in Vietnam, with an average cost of USD 62.
