Bogdan Balaci leaves helm of IBM Romania

Bogdan Balaci, the CEO of IBM Romania, left the helm of the company and will be replaced by Michael Paier, the general manager for IBM in South Eastern Europe, who will serve as an interim CEO. Balaci became IBM's CEO at the beginning of 2011 and had been working with the company for 13 years. He had replaced Mihai Tudor, who had been promoted to a regional level.

Bogdan Balaci was promoted from the head of sales position. He holds an MBA from the Henley Management College.

IBM Romania has 1,500 employees and is one of the largest private companies in the country.
