Andre Rieu adds 5,000 extra lawn tickets for his sold-out concert in Bucharest

10 June 2015

The Romanians who did not get a chance or could not afford to buy tickets for any of Andre Rieu’s seven concerts in Romania have another opportunity to listen to the King of Waltz.  The organizers just launched 5,000 more tickets for the June 13 concert in Bucharest, four times cheaper than the lowest priced tickets so far.

The 5,000 seats are available on the lawn in the People’s Palace yard and cost RON 43.2 – some EUR 10. Andre Rieu will donate to charity – Unicef and Save the Children-  all the proceeds from selling these tickets. The June 13 concert already sold out on all categories in December last year when it was announced, but lawn tickets, although selling fast, were still available a few hours after the announcement on June 10.

At Rieu’s previous concerts in Bucharest, which started on June 5, some tens of people watched the event from the lawn in front of the People’s Palace, allegedly for free. Normally, access to the People’s Palace yard is not permitted, as there are guards placed at every entry.
