A taste of Thailand in Bucharest: Thai food festival in September

The flavors of Thai cuisine are coming to Bucharest with the Crowne Plaza's Thai Food Festival next week. The event features two guest Thai chefs, as well as the resident head chef Ashlie Dias.

Between September 24 and September 30 the three of them will be cooking up traditional Thai dishes for lunch and dinner, both a la carte and as a buffet. A range of dishes will be available, exemplifying the delicious diversity of Thai food; extremely spicy chili, aromatic rice, fresh ginger, tiger prawns, zingy lime juice, pungent garlic and all the other rich flavors that typify this unique Asian cuisine.

Also on the menu are cooking classes, when the chefs Pothibanthit, Ruanmun and Ashlie Dias will share some of the secrets of traditional Thai food and offer the chance pick up new techniques used in the popular Asian cuisine.

The cooking class is Thursday, September 27 and more details on prices are available from Crowne Plaza Hotel. The event finishes with a Thai take on Sunday Brunch, Sunday September 30.
