Tickets for Depeche Mode's Bucharest gig selling fast after only two weeks

20 November 2012

The return of British 80s act Depeche Mode appears to be popular with Romanians, with tickets for the event in spring next year selling fast. Gazon A (standing) tickets for the concert in Romania's National Arena in Bucharest are almost sold out, according to the event's promoters.

The Depeche Mode show is on May 15, next year and tickets went on sale just over two weeks ago, at the end of October. The Gazon A (turf A) tickets are for standing room and are the nearest places available to the stage. “Most fans want to be as close to the band as possible,” said the CEO of event organizer Emagic, and added that a similar pattern has been seen to previous events. Some 200 Gazon A tickets remained, as of earlier today (November 20 ).

The Depeche Mode tour will start on May 7, 2013 in Tel Aviv, Israel, followed by concerts in Athens, here in Bucharest, Sofia and then followed by Istanbul, Belgrade and Budapest. It will be the bands second visit to Romania, after a concert seven years ago, also in Bucharest. Tickets are available on myticket.ro.
