Bucharest's Sky Tower office building hosts aboriginal art exhibition with sale

27 October 2015

The Sky Tower office building in Bucharest hosts The Dreaming, an aboriginal art exhibition that features some 240 paintings and works of art created by dozens of Australian aboriginal artists.

The exhibition, which covers a surface of 1,200 sqm, is located at the building’s 34th floor and can be visited until November 6. The objects are exhibited in three different sections, which are representative for the key moments in the evolution of aboriginal art – Genesis, The Explosion, and Universality.

During the exhibition, some of the works can be purchased from the art shop, for prices ranging between EUR 500 and several thousand euros, reports local Agerpres. The rest of the artworks will be sold at a charity auction to be organized on November 5.

The funds raised during the event, as well as the money from other donations, will be used to make several Romanian traditional art cooperatives in isolated and disadvantaged communities.

The exhibition is organized by non-profit organization the Seeds, in partnership with Sky Tower. Tickets cost RON 20 and RON 10 (for students, children, and pensioners).
