Romanian Bogdan Balaci, former general manager of IBM Romania, has become Philips Lighting's new general manager for the South-Eastern Europe. He will take over his new role on June 16, according to a company announcement.

Balaci is the former CEO of the cloud solution company Ymens, and was a member in the management team of Teamnet. He has over 15 years of experience in the IT industry. In the past, Balaci was general manager of IMB Romania, and also run the activities in the Republic of Moldova. He left IBM in October 2012.

Balaci holds a degree from the Physics Faculty in Bucharest, and an MBA from the Henley Business School.
