Romanian president Traian Basescu (in picture) said the country must look for another Prime Minister and install a new Government, if the parties making up the current ruling coalition fail to achieve the program agreed with the international financial institutions, he told the public radio station.  'Should the current parties fail to assume the achievement of the program, we must look for another Prime Minister, who should take upon himself a program in accordance with Romania's needs, a program that should not lie to the Romanians and say that different things must be done, after it is installed. And we must install a new Government', Basescu told the Radio Romania Actualitati (News).

He underscored, however, that the ruling parties showed him they have the will to achieve the assumed programm, but that the lawmakers of these parties ‘lack discipline'.

The current PM Emil Boc is the head of the National Liberal Party (PDL), the same party which president Traian Basescu was member of before becoming head of state.
