Romanian company to upgrade reporting system for Central Bank in Republic of Moldova

Romanian software producer Siveco is currently working with the Central Bank of the Republic of Moldova to expand its IT systems and add 50 new statistical reports, complying with the EU demands.

The new system will be unique among the Central Banks in the region, according to Siveco, and will improve the Republic of Moldova's reporting systems. The value of the project was not announced.

Siveco, led by Irina Socol (in picture) has been working on several international projects in recent months. It will provide the Republic of Macedonia with the technology required to meet the EU's demands for national border controls, after opening an office in Dubai earlier in 2012. Siveco signed the first contract in the United Arab Emirates in 2007, to develop the national education portal, followed by an eContent system, ended in 2011.

Siveco exports eLearning solutions to 17 countries and hopes to expand to 10 more export destinations by the end of this year, most of them in the Middle and Near East.

The company was founded in 1992 and it employs over 1,000 staff.
