Passenger rail transporters in Romania get less money from state

State-owned passenger railway carrier CFR Calatori will receive EUR 234.3 million subsidies this year, lower compared to last year, when it got EUR 272 million.

Private railroad operator Regiotrans will also receive less money this year. The company will get EUR 31.6 million worth of subsidies, below the EUR 51 million received last year, reports local Mediafax.

The total subsidies received by railroad operators in 2015 will go down to EUR 294 million from EUR 341 million last year.

Interregional Calatori will receive EUR 4.8 million worth of subsidies and Softrans will get EUR 2.3 million.
