New edition of Gaudeamus Book Fair in Bucharest this November

07 October 2015

The 22nd edition of Gaudeamus International Book and Education Fair will take place at Romexpo in Bucharest between November 18 and November 22.

This is one of the longest-running book fairs in Romania, and one of the most popular events of this kind. Over 100,000 people visit the fair every year.

Gaudeamus Book Fair takes place at Romexpo every year, in an exhibit space of some 14,000 sqm. Some 400 Romanian and foreign publishing houses, printing companies, educational institutions, cultural centers and institutions, and libraries come with special offers at the fair.

Besides being a book fair, Gaudeamus also hosts a large number of cultural events. Last year, for example, some 750 events were organized during the fair.

The most wanted book of the 2014 edition of the fair was Step by Step (Pas cu Pas), the autobiography of Romania’s newly elected President Klaus Iohannis. The event’s guest of honour was the Russian Federation.
