Minovici Medical Development, that has recently opened the Minovici Medical Center private clinic in Bucharest following an investment of EUR 2 million, also plans to invest EUR 300 million in the University Hospital - Minovici Medical City in the next four years. This project will be built in partnership with a U.S. hospital.

Minovici Medical Development is affiliated with MIC & Associates, an American company whose founder and chairman is Stefan Minovici, descendant of the Minovici family , the founders of modern medicine in Romania, according to the company.

Prior to founding MIC & Associates in 1997, Stefan Minovici was a senior vice-president at CMG International, a New York based advertising, marketing and public relations firm.

The Minovici family is famous in Romania for having founded modern legal medicine in the country. Mina Minovici was a coroner and pharmacist, the founder and director of the Legal Medicine Institute. He has also created the first morgue in the world.

His brother Stefan Minovici was a chemist, while their brother Nicolae was an artist and doctor who created the first Emergency Hospital in Romania in the 30s.
