Romanian state-run subway company Metrorex has awarded a EUR 215 million construction contract for the Raul Doamnei-Hasdeu sector of Bucharest’s new subway mainline to a consortium made up of Astaldi (Italy), FCC (Spain), Delta ACM and AB Construct (Romania)

A new Romanian movie production, the comedy “Hello, how are you?” is set to be released on March 4 in cinemas across the country, according to production representatives. U. S. publication Variety wrote that the movie was “a breath of fresh air”, in the context of rather bleak local films.

The Viennese Ball, organized by JW Marriott, has reached its sixth edition and will be held at the Parliament Palace on the last Saturday of February (February 25) starting 19,30 hours. Ticket prices are RON 900 and you can book them here.

Franz Rattenstetter (in picture) returns to the helm of the five-star hotel Crown Plaza in Bucharest, after having headed the unit between 2001 and 2007. Rattenstetter is the new GM of the hotel in the portfolio of Ana Hotels, a company owned by Romanian businessman George Copos.

Murat Kazaz is the new CEO and executive board member of real estate developer Anchor Grup in Romania. The real estate company owns Bucuresti Mall, Plaza Romania shopping centers in Bucharest, the InCity Residence and the Anchor Plaza office building in Bucharest, as well as MallDova mall in Chisinau, the Republic of Moldova.
