The Senate on Tuesday passed by unanimous vote a Government's draft law concerning some expropriation measures in the case of projects of national, local and county interest, as amended by the Committee on Privatisation and the Judicial Committee.

Romania will export this year over two million tons of wheat and a similar quantity of corn, at prices per ton ranging from EUR 180 to EUR 240, Romanian Agriculture Minister Valeriu Tabara told newswire Mediafax. Data presented by the minister indicate Romania will export corn of over EUR 360 million and wheat of over EUR 420 million.

This year's International Sleepless Nights Accordion festival will open with a jazz performance by Romanian accordionist Emy Dragoi on Wednesday, October 20, at the Tete-a-Tete Coffee Art & Chill. The event wil also feature Costel Nitescu as special guest playing the violin.

The event, organized by the Norwegian Embassy to Bucharest and ICR, will include five movies with free entry.
