Already planning your winter holidays? Well, if you're choosing Bucharest for your stay in the month of December, we've made a list of events in the city you could try yourself - or offer as gifts to your loved ones. A series of Magyar movie screenings will take place at the National Museum of the Romanian Peasant, in the Horia Bernea studio, from November 14 until November 21. Entry will be free of charge and most of the movies will be subtitled in Romanian- see below complete schedule to see which one will have English subtitles.
A concert featuring music from the 17th century will take place at the Anglican Church in Bucharest (Alexandru Xenopol 2A)on November 18, from 19,00 hours. Soprano Judit Andrejszki from Budapest will perform along with Caius Hera, who studied classical guitar at the Timisoara Music Faculty.

Yet another week-end full of events in Bucharest, so again plenty of things to choose from if you're staying in the capital city. There's the Damian Draghici concert coming up on Friday evening, the Sex Pistol Experience (in picture) event on Saturday- both of them not to miss. The Mono Jacks, the Logistics concerts and two tribute events, for Michael Jackson and for U2 will fill your week-end evenings. During the day, you can choose the Earth Market - traditional, healthy products - or Kilipirim - the bargains fair.

Calea Victoriei Foundation, City Compass and Artmark organize a workshop about great Romanian women on November 13 at the Artmark Gallery (18 Logofat Luca Stroici St. MAP ) starting 11,00 hours. The conference will be held by Silvia Timofte.
Canadian pop-soul artist Melanie Fiona will perform in Bucharest on December 2, in the Fratelli Club in Bucharest (1 Glodeni St), from 23,00 hours. The artist, known for songs like 'Give it to me right' and 'It kills me' (listen to both songs below), is on tour, promoting her latest album, 'The Bridge'
The Romanian city of Sibiu will host the Sibiu World Music Festival 2010 between November 12 and 14. The event is organized by the Sibiu Jazz festival foundation and will take place in the Thalia Hall of the State Philharmonic of Sibiu. Ticket prices are RON 20 and RON 10 for pupils/students/pensioners.
Swedish band Roxette will perform in Romania for the first time on May 30 next year, at Zone Arena, according to Emagic, which organizes the concert. Roxette fans from Romania and the CEE region will be able to listen to Per Gessle and Marie Fredriksson in a concert which is included in the band's world tour scheduled for 2011.
