Germany’s Schumann Quartet to perform in Bucharest this November

Germany’s Schumann Quartet will perform in Bucharest on November 17, in the Da Capo ArCuB Chamber Music Series. The concert will take place at ArCuB’s Grand Hall on Lipscani street, and will start at 19:30.

The event’s program includes Joseph Haydn - String Quartet in D Major, op. 76/5, Leoš Janáček - String Quartet no. 1 ‘Kreutzer Sonata’, and Antonín Dvořák - String Quartet in F Major, op. 94, ‘American’.

Schumann Quartet was founded in 2007 and is seen as one of the best musical groups in the world. The quartet was established by three enthusiast brothers - Erik, Ken, and Mark Schumann, who grew up in Rhineland, Western Germany and studied cello and violin. Estonia’s violist Liisa Randalu joined the group in 2012.

Tickets for the concert cost RON 30 and RON 50 and can be purchased online from eventim.ro.

Da Capo ArCuB Chamber Music Series 2015/2016, the first series of chamber music concerts in Bucharest with international participation, started on October 15. Its program includes a total of eight concerts. There will be a concert each month, and the event will end in May 2016.
