Taraf de Haidouks joins Balkanik! Festival this week –end in Bucharest

Taraf de Haidouks, who have been playing gipsy music around the world for over two decades, will be in Bucharest next weekend, on stage for the Balkanik! Festival 2014 show. The band will play in the first night of the event, on Friday evening, September 12, after Čači Vorba and Mahala Rai Banda, at the Uranus Garden.

Shantel & Bucovina Club Orkestar, Kiril Dzajkovski, Django Lassi, Kottarashky &The Rain Dogs, Balkan Taksim, and Akuiaku will also be on stage in the three – day event.

Balkanik! Festival’s slogan this year will be Just World Music!, with an aim to become internationally renowned for gathering music lovers in Eastern Europe but also from Western Europe.

Concerts are scheduled every evening on Friday, Saturday and Sunday – September 12, 13, 14, starting 19:30 on Friday, and 18:00 during the weekend, while an urban fair will take place during the day, starting 12:00. Romanian and Balkan food and handcrafted items will be on sale at the fair.

This is the fourth edition of this festival. Subscriptions are RON 130 and can be bought online here. One-day tickets are RON 65.
