Study: One third of cars in Romania have brake problems

20 August 2014

One third of vehicles in Romania have problems with the brake system, according to a study conducted by Mobil Car Care.

The study, conducted among independent car services in Europe, reveals that 34% of the drivers in Romania don’t pay attention to the brake fluid, which leads to a 17% rate of unintended exposure to accidents.

Also, most of the drivers don’t understand the way the brake fluid works, according to Mobil Car Care. Over half of the car services’ customers admitted they don’t know or gave incorrect answers to questions related to the brake fluid, while 40% of respondents said they haven’t changed the brake fluid in two years.

The situation in the rest of Europe shows that 71% of the surveyed drivers don’t know how the brake fluid works.
