There were 700,000 unemployed people in Romania in June, leading to an unemployment rate of 7.1 percent, down 0.2 percentage points from May.

More men are unemployed than women, with unemployment rate among men at 7.7 percent, and at 6.4 percent among women. Three quarters of the unemployed are 25 to 74, while the rest, 15 to 25.
