Romania's largest saltwater swimming pool opens with EUR 1.5 mln investment

The largest outdoor swimming pool with saltwater in Romania was recently opened in Praid, in Harghita county, after an investment of EUR 1.55 million.

According to Ilie Colorian, the head of the Tourism Service at the Praid Salt Mine, the new outdoor swimming pool covers an area of 5,200 sqm, reports local Mediafax. The pool itself represents 1,942 sqm of the total.

A ticket costs RON 25 (EUR 5.7) for adults and RON 15 (EUR 3.4) for children.

The outdoor swimming pools is open daily between 10,00 and 20,00. It also has an evening program on Thursdays and Saturdays, between 21,00 and 23,00.

The Praid Salt Mine is owned by the Romanian state through the National Salt Company - Salrom.
