Romania's government pays almost EUR 9 mln on land expropriations
The Romanian Government will pay EUR 8.9 million compensations for the expropriation procedures which will start on the Brasov-Targu Mures-Cluj-Oradea highway.
The compensation will be paid for the 801 properties, with a total area of 2.1 million square meters, which will be expropriated to clear the land for the highway. The necessary amount for compensation was established based on an expert’s report from the National Association of Romanian Valuators (ANEVAR), and will be paid from the state budget.
The Brasov-Targu Mures-Cluj-Oradea highway, correlated with the Bucharest-Brasov highway, will create the direct link between Romania, Central and Western Europe.
